I am a student attending a college at The City University of New York and a recipient of the Peter F. Vallone Scholarship sponsored by the New York City Council. Through the Vallone Scholarship Program, which defrays $250.00 per semester from the tuition of thousands of students who rely upon it, I have been able to continue the pursuit of my degree and achieve academically at the University. Without this scholarship, my fellow students and I may not be able to pay for classes and finish our college studies. I ask that you and your colleagues in the City Council continue to support our advancements by restoring the funding which was eliminated under the proposed City budget. Thank you.
