As a registered voter, I write to ask you to support a full budgetary restoration and funding of capital needs for CUNY's community colleges for 2O10-2O11. In today's difficult economy, a high school degree is simply not enough of an educational credential for career success. With CUNY experiencing record enrollment growth, your help is needed to maintain academic programs and student services at community colleges in order to assure that New York City moves into the future with an educated, skilled workforce. Also, your help is needed to bring up community college facilities, by fixing roofs, upgrading deteriorated facades, and updating old science teaching labs, to a state-of-good repair. Please speak up now for quality public higher education.
